The Pelgrimkerk is part of the Protestant Church in the Netherlands. It offers a space for meeting, worship, and inspiration. Every Sunday morning, the church doors open for a service that begins at 10:00 am. Afterwards, coffee and conversation flow freely, fostering a sense of community. The Pelgrimkerk actively embraces the younger generation. Every other week, a crèche welcomes babies and toddlers aged 0-4. Children aged 4-12 can participate in the kindernevendienst, a children’s service held concurrently with the main service. Here, Bible stories come alive through storytelling and creative activities. Special projects for Christmas and Easter allow children to contribute directly to the festive services. Twice a year, the Pelgrimkerk transforms into a bustling marketplace for its clothing and book fair. It’s more than just shopping. It’s an opportunity for connection and shared experience. The Pelgrimkerk also plays a role in supporting those in need. The church participates in Actie Vakantietas, a collaborative effort with other churches to provide vacation bags to those less fortunate. Looking to the future, the Pelgrimkerk is developing a new community center. This center will include a Christian living community, further solidifying its role as a vital hub in the neighborhood.
