Between the fast food chicken Instagram drinks and sexy lingerie there is art. This is the Open Space Contemporary Art Museum. Located in the Amsterdamse Poort shopping center in Amsterdam Zuidoost it’s a surprising oasis. OSCAM isn’t just a museum. It’s a vibrant hub for art fashion design and craftsmanship. Housed in a former Cool Cat building OSCAM opened in January 2020. It’s a conscious choice. The museum aims to bring art closer to the people. It offers opportunities to residents of Zuidoost. Other notable Dutch figures have also participated. Typhoon Humberto Tan Jörgen Raymann Tania Kross and Ruud Gullit are among them. OSCAM’s mission is to foster a creative community.
