Kew Palace, a charming residence nestled in the heart of Kew Gardens. This small but grand building whispers tales of royal lives lived within its walls. It was once the home of George II’s children, who enjoyed their privileged lives in this picturesque setting. It’s said that the princesses had to hang their dresses on the back of their bedroom doors because the rooms were so cramped. George III later took ownership of the Palace and used it to house some of his art collection. But perhaps the most enduring story of Kew Palace is that of Queen Charlotte. She died in 1818 in her bedroom on the first floor, due to an illness that she caught on her journey from London. Her bedroom was left exactly as it was, as per the wishes of a granddaughter, Queen Victoria. Today, you can step inside and see for yourself the opulent furnishings and the life of a bygone era. Kew Palace is unique, it’s a place where history lives, and you can walk in the footsteps of royalty.
