Established in 1973, FC Abcoude is more than just a football club. It’s a cornerstone of the Abcoude community, nestled right next to Amsterdam. FC Abcoude’s home turf, Sportpark Hollandse Kade, has witnessed countless matches, victories, and the development of remarkable talent. Players like Matthijs de Ligt and Serginho Greene honed their skills on this very ground, wearing the iconic red and blue striped jerseys of FC Abcoude. The club’s history is a tapestry woven from the threads of two former clubs, AFC ’37 and RKSV Abekewalda. Their merger in 1973 birthed FC Abcoude. Over the years, FC Abcoude climbed the ranks, reaching the seventh-tier Tweede Klasse in 2010. The club’s heart beats not only for competition but also for community.
