Journey with me back to 2016. The Gooise Meren municipality was born. This wasn’t a spontaneous creation. It arose from the merging of three distinct entities: Bussum, Naarden, and Muiden. Gooise Meren, nestled in the southeast of Noord-Holland, became a unified force. Imagine the logistical puzzle. Three separate systems, each with their own unique history and data, had to be combined into one cohesive whole. This monumental task involved migrating an astounding 750,000 documents. A “Big Bang” data migration strategy was employed. Everything shifted at once. Think of the meticulous planning and coordination required for such an undertaking. The chosen software, Mozard, played a pivotal role in this transition. The entire process was a testament to the power of collaboration and technology. The result? Gooise Meren now stands as a testament to this smooth integration. A vibrant municipality with a rich tapestry woven from the threads of its predecessors. This union created a synergy, allowing Gooise Meren to flourish in the Gooi en Vechtstreek region.
