Perhaps unknown to many, Z\u00e1ryby is a municipality and village in the Prague-East District. It resides in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. Z\u00e1ryby is not just a place on the map, it is a vibrant community with a rich history.
Let’s step back in time to 1371. That’s when the first written record of Z\u00e1ryby appeared. Imagine the world then. Charles IV ruled Bohemia. The Renaissance was still a distant dream. Z\u00e1ryby began its story.
Today, Z\u00e1ryby has about 1100 inhabitants. The village is small enough to feel intimate. It is large enough to have a thriving community. The municipality is divided into two parts. These are Z\u00e1ryby and Martinov. In 2021, Z\u00e1ryby had 808 residents and Martinov had 279.

The surrounding landscape shapes Z\u00e1ryby. K\u0159enek borders it to the north and northeast. To the east is Borek. Brand\u00fds nad Labem-Star\u00e1 Boleslav and Polerady lie to the south. Kostelec nad Labem is to the west.
Getting to Z\u00e1ryby is easy by road. Brand\u00fds nad Labem-Star\u00e1 Boleslav is 6 km away. Neratovice is 11 km away. The center of Prague is 28 km away.
Today, Z\u00e1ryby is a modern municipality. Yet, it still retains its historic charm. New companies are emerging here. For example, Bohemia Auto Parts s.r.o. was founded in March 2024. AQUATOPSHOP s.r.o. was founded in August 2023. These new ventures add to the village’s dynamic character.
