Did you know Winston Churchill High School wasn’t always called Winston Churchill High School? Originally christened Potomac High School in 1964 its name changed the following year. It honors the iconic British Prime Minister Winston Churchill a figure synonymous with wartime resilience. Winston Churchill High School is the only public high school in Potomac Maryland. Most of its students hail from Potomac with a smaller number coming from Bethesda. It’s part of the Montgomery County Public Schools system a large and well-regarded district.
