Heard about Ocean Park’s grand reopening of Whiskers Theatre? It’s more than just a theatre. It is a place where entertainment meets education.
Whiskers Theatre is home to the All Star Jam show. The show opened on January 28, 2024. This show features Ocean Park’s beloved mascots in dazzling new outfits. These outfits complement the stage’s stunning decorations.
All Star Jam is directed by celebrity show director Jack Lam. He is known for producing many concerts in Hong Kong. Musician Chiu Tsang Hei and choreographer Fai Lam also contributed. They created new theme songs and dances.
The mascots include Whiskers, Bao Bao, Dougie, Fluffi, Justin, Mark, and Redd. The audience gets to participate in the show. The fate of the contestants is in their hands.
Whiskers Theatre also hosts “Own Your Stage”. It is a two-day program for children. They learn the We Wa Dance with Whiskers Villagers. They also develop performance skills. These include storytelling, animal talk, and magic tricks.
On the second day, the children perform on the Whiskers Theatre stage. They perform with macaws for their parents. Afterward, they receive a certificate.
Before All Star Jam, Whiskers Theatre was transformed into a train station. “Whisker and Friends” took kids on an eco-adventure. They explored all seven continents. The show was about 20 minutes long. Mark Lui, a famous Hong Kong producer, composed the songs. The show taught kids how climate change affects the environment.
