Founded in 1991 Washington International Church welcomes people. Pastor David Wong and his wife Nancy started it. They planted the church as part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. Their goal was to reach internationals in the Washington D C area. Since then people from over 120 countries have joined Washington International Church. It’s a warm welcoming and diverse place. Many members are from other countries or connected to the international community. Washington International Church is located at 4420 River Road NW Washington DC 20016. There’s plenty of on-street parking on Sundays. The Friendship Heights and Tenleytown-AU Metro stations are nearby. Services are held every Sunday at 10:30 AM both virtually and in person. Expect contemporary worship songs updated hymns prayer and a sermon. Dress is casual or dressy. Washington International Church holds to the Alliance Statement of Faith. Their mission is to welcome people of every ethnic group into a growing relationship with God. Their vision is to be an international multicultural family growing in love for God serving Him and impacting their neighborhood city and world. Washington International Church has various ministries for adults youth and children. Small groups meet across the D C area. A Growing Disciples class helps people learn to study the Bible. Men meet for breakfast and fellowship. Women have monthly meetings and book studies. There’s a weekly online prayer meeting. For youth there’s a Sunday gathering with fun fellowship and Bible study. Alliance Kids welcomes children from newborns to grade 5. Washington International Church truly is a global community of faith. It’s a place where people from all over the world come together to worship and grow in their faith. It’s a vibrant and welcoming place that reflects the diversity of the city of Washington D C.
