Here at Pearces Corner, nestled where Pennant Hills Road meets the Pacific Highway, Wahroonga Anglican Church has been a spiritual home for generations. The church’s story is interwoven with the history of Wahroonga itself, a tale of growth, unity, and unwavering faith. Wahroonga Anglican Church – Pearces Corner wasn’t always known by its current name. It began as St. Paul’s Anglican Church, built in 1881 when Pearces Corner was a bustling hub. The church witnessed the arrival of the railway in 1890, even briefly lending its name to the Wahroonga railway station. As Wahroonga grew, the area’s focus shifted eastward, but St. Paul’s remained a steadfast presence at Pearces Corner. In 2022, a new chapter unfolded in the church’s story. St. Paul’s joined with St. Andrew’s Anglican Parish to become Wahroonga Anglican Church. This union, a testament to the shared faith and love of the two congregations, created a stronger, more vibrant community dedicated to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. Wahroonga Anglican Church – Pearces Corner serves as one of two sites for this united parish, a testament to its enduring importance. Today, Wahroonga Anglican Church – Pearces Corner continues its mission of welcoming everyone, fostering spiritual growth, and honoring God. It stands as a symbol of continuity and renewal, a place where history and faith intertwine to create a vibrant spiritual home in the heart of Wahroonga.
