After the first exhibition, V\u00fdstavi\u0161t\u011b hosted many events. These included the 1895 Czech-Slavic Ethnographic Exhibition. Also, the 1898 Exhibition of Architecture and Engineering took place here. The Trade and Crafts Chamber Jubilee Exhibition occurred in 1908. Prague Sample Fairs were also held here. The Slavic Agricultural Exhibition occurred in 1948.
After 1948, trade fairs moved to Brno. In 1953, the Prague exhibition center became the Park of Culture. It was named after Julius Fu\u010d\u00edk. It became a place for cultural events and entertainment. This set an example for other Czechoslovak parks. The Industrial Palace became the Congress Palace. Until 1981, Communist Party congresses were held here.

On May 1 1990, the area regained its original name V\u00fdstavi\u0161t\u011b. The General Czechoslovak Exhibition marked the 100th anniversary. It commemorated the Jubilee Exhibition in 1991.
In 2015, V\u00fdstavi\u0161t\u011b came under the management of Prague. Since 2018, the entire complex has undergone major renovations. The restoration of the burnt-out left wing of the Industrial Palace began in February 2022.

V\u00fdstavi\u0161t\u011b stands near the N\u00e1dra\u017e\u00ed Hole\u0161ovice metro station. This is on line C. The complex was created in the eastern part of the Royal Game Preserve. The remaining part, Stromovka Park, borders V\u00fdstavi\u0161t\u011b on the west. The Prague Planetarium is near V\u00fdstavi\u0161t\u011b in Stromovka. Tipsport Arena adjoins V\u00fdstavi\u0161t\u011b on the east.
