Could a church be born from a shared spiritual yearning? At Victory & Praise Christian Ministries in Toronto, it absolutely was. Four families, seeking a deeper connection, came together in September 1996. They envisioned a fellowship that nurtured the whole person: body, soul, and spirit. Victory & Praise Christian Ministries became that vision realized. Victory & Praise Christian Ministries officially registered as a charity on January 1, 2007. Its charitable registration number, assigned by the Canada Revenue Agency, confirms its status. This vibrant community is located at 2300 Finch Avenue West, Units 27 & 28, Toronto. Leading this congregation are Reverend Antonio and Lorrieta Esguerra. Reverend Tony Esguerra, an accountant turned minister, co-founded the ministry in 1998. He is ordained under Kingdom Covenant International Ministry and Dr. Jonathan David Ministry in Malaysia. Reverend Lorrie Esguerra answered a divine call to Canada in 1981. She too is ordained under the same ministries as her husband. At Victory & Praise Christian Ministries, the word of God takes center stage. They embrace a Pentecostal doctrine and Charismatic worship style. They believe in the power of the Holy Spirit and encourage its gifts among their members. Victory & Praise Christian Ministries also holds a strong belief in community outreach. They strive to be a beacon of hope, addressing the needs of their neighbors and promoting good in the wider Toronto area. This church isn’t just a building. It is a living testament to the power of shared faith and community.
