Vaughan Community Church is an English-speaking church. It welcomes people of all ages. It’s a place where generations connect. The church aims to strengthen its community. It seeks to bless the wider Greater Toronto Area too. It’s part of the Presbyterian Church in Canada.
At its heart are Reverend Joseph Bae and Reverend John Baik. Pastor Joe arrived in 2010. He received his Master of Divinity from Knox College. He’s a family man. He loves sports Star Trek and Lord of the Rings. Pastor John joined later. He’s also a family man. He studied at Tyndale Seminary and the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship. He cherishes quiet moments and loves to listen. He enjoys music. He appreciates the stories people share.
The church’s mission extends beyond its walls. They support the Dali family’s immigration. They partner with Mosaic Interfaith for Out of the Cold programs. They work with World Vision. They’ve even hosted their first ever Alpha program online. They support Holy Spirit Church and ministries in Africa. Their outreach is global. It is extensive.
The church is organized around several ministries. These ministries cater to various needs. There are elders. There are ministry leads. There are also life stage leads. Each team focuses on different aspects of church life. Worship. Welcoming new members. Discipleship. Missions and Outreach. Young adults. Singles. Families. Mature members. Each group contributes to the church’s vitality.
