For most of these programs, admission is through the Unified Selection System (SISU). However, biological sciences and medicine have a mixed system. This combines the National High School Exam (ENEM) score with a supplementary exam.

The city donated a 400,000-square-meter plot of land in the Morungaba area, near the Billings Reservoir.
