On a sun-drenched hillside overlooking the vibrant landscape, Tyrell’s Baptist Church stands as a beacon of faith. Tyrell’s Baptist Church has a rich history interwoven with the community of St. Paul’s. The church’s story began on November 29th, 1992. Under the guidance of Dr. Hensworth W.C. Jonas, a group of 27 members from the Central Baptist Church embarked on a mission to establish a new spiritual home. This dedicated group formed the charter membership of Tyrell’s Baptist Church. The East Caribbean Baptist Mission secured land along Tyrells Main Road. A modest chapel was constructed, serving as the initial place of worship. Over time, through dedication and community support, the chapel underwent renovations. It transformed into the modern and inspiring worship facility you see today. Tyrell’s Baptist Church has become more than just a building. It has become a symbol of hope and spiritual growth for the people of St. Paul’s. Its presence is a testament to the enduring power of faith and community. As you admire its architecture, remember the journey of those 27 members who laid the foundation for this vibrant community of faith. Tyrell’s Baptist Church continues to shine as a beacon of faith, inspiring generations to come. Find it nestled between Builders Merchant Store and the Bargain Centre Supermarket on Tyrells Main Road. You can’t miss it.
