In March 1961, Tsuen Wan Government Primary School first opened its doors. The school’s original location was within the newly built Hoi Pa Street Government Primary School. This was a temporary arrangement. Tsuen Wan Government Primary School needed its own space. The school’s motto, “Integritas,” reflects its commitment to integrity and education. This motto has guided the school for decades. It symbolizes the values instilled in generations of students. In 1963, the school faced a challenge. There was a shortage of classrooms. The school adopted a split-session system. Classes were held in the morning and afternoon. This allowed more students to attend despite limited space. This solution was temporary. The school community eagerly awaited a permanent home. The new campus on Hoi Pa Street was finally ready in 1964. On June 25th, students moved into their new classrooms. The whole-day school arrangement resumed. The official opening ceremony took place on November 25th, 1964. A distinguished guest, Governor Sir David Trench, presided over the event. A plaque commemorating this event is on display. The Tsuen Wan Government Primary School has a rich history. Two of its students were survivors of the tragic 2010 Manila hostage crisis. This event deeply affected the school community. It highlighted the importance of resilience and support. The Tsuen Wan Government Primary School continues to serve the community. It offers a quality education to its students. It prepares them for a bright future.
