Have you ever felt the wind whip through your hair as you stood on a dramatic headland? Tsang Pang Kok Tsui offers just that. This headland east of Long Ke and Long Ke Tsai in Sai Kung Geopark boasts breathtaking views. It’s not overly famous but offers incredible vistas of beaches and Port Shelter.

Tsang Pang Kok Tsui is more than just a pretty face. Its majesty lies in its dramatic sea caves. These caves are a stunning sight. They add to the headland’s already impressive appeal. This is a truly special place. You can practically feel the history. The raw beauty of nature is evident everywhere.

The hike to Tsang Pang Kok Tsui is unexpectedly serene. It’s a journey far from any buildings. It’s a truly immersive experience in nature. You can combine your visit with a hike from Tai Yue Ngam Tsui or a shorter trip from the East Dam. Both options pass Long Ke Beach. Look for a small sign marking Tsang Pang Kok Tsui. It’s perfect for that Instagram-worthy shot. Remember to treat this sign with respect.

The hike itself can take around three hours. It’s rated a 3 out of 5 difficulty. Good shoes are essential though. The descent to Long Ke Tsai is particularly tricky. Getting to and from the East Dam adds to the challenge.

To reach the East Dam you might need a taxi from Sai Kung town center. This could cost around 120 HKD. It’s best to go with friends to share the cost. There’s a public bathroom at the East Dam. From there a paved trail on MacLehose Trail Stage 2 leads to Long Ke Beach.

From the trail you’ll get fantastic views of Long Ke Beach. It’s incredibly beautiful. Once on the beach continue to the far end. To avoid sand in your shoes stick to the vegetation. The trail to Tsang Pang Kok Tsui is located behind the beach.

The trail from Long Ke to Long Ke Tsai requires a map. It’s marked by a ribbon but may not be easy to spot. This part of the trail is rocky. Proper footwear is crucial. This trail takes you around the headland towards Long Ke Tsai. Long Ke Tsai means ‘little Long Ke’. As you turn you’ll see the sea caves on Tsang Pang Kok Tsui.

The descent to the small beach of Long Ke Tsai is steep. A rope assists the descent on the left. It’s best to take this route slowly and carefully. From Long Ke Tsai you can see the trail up to Tsang Pang Kok Tsui. The trail doesn’t go to the highest point of the headland Cheung Ngam Tsui. Instead it goes directly to Tsang Pang Kok Tsui. Along the way you’ll see Long Ke Tsai and Long Ke.

The final approach takes you through a field of unique vegetation. Green rounded shrubs and yellow spiky leaves create a fun landscape. Once you spot the lone island at the end you are near the sign. You can go further for better views of the lighthouse on the island. Remember to return the same way.
