Here stands Trinity Presbyterian Church a beacon of faith. It is a place of community in the bustling city of Toronto. Since 1953, Trinity Presbyterian Church has stood here. However, the story really begins even earlier.

Presbyterians were living and serving Christ here since 1835. They were in the broader area around Bayview and the 401. The church’s roots go back to 1952. People from Glenview Presbyterian Church surveyed the district. They wanted to establish a mission church near Bayview and Sheppard Avenues.

In September 1952, the committee met. They met with a small group of interested residents. This community was rapidly developing. Worship services began the next month. They were held in a neighboring school. The original 250-seat sanctuary was dedicated in 1955. It was located at 2737 Bayview Ave.

The evolution from those small beginnings is significant. It involved many people and physical growth. Previous ministers and church members fashioned this worshipping community. They also created the physical buildings that make up today’s Trinity Presbyterian Church.

Look up at the cross. Notice the natural light. It fills the spacious church. The worship space is significant here at Trinity Presbyterian Church.

The legacy of those who came before is special. It is a place to worship, study, and visit. It shapes who we are. It influences the form and content of our worship. It affects how we relate to God and to each other.

“Amazing grace. Warm embrace.” This tagline conveys the spirit of Trinity. It acknowledges the caring that surrounds all activities here. This extends beyond the building to wherever love and care reach.

Trinity Presbyterian Church actively participates in various projects. These include the Classroom for Every Child campaign. They assist in sponsoring a Syrian refugee family. They also send underprivileged children to camp.

Within the fellowship of Trinity, a warm embrace is present. This shows in worship and cooperative projects. It is visible in Bible study and coffee times after Sunday service. It also shows in social gatherings throughout the year. They support each other during times of grief or need.

Trinity Presbyterian Church is an inclusive community. It welcomes people of all ages. It includes people of all gender identities. It embraces all racial and cultural backgrounds. It is open to all sexual orientations, abilities, and economic circumstances. All family configurations are welcome here at Trinity.

Today, Trinity Presbyterian Church continues its mission. It worships and serves God through faith in Jesus Christ. It relies on the power of the Holy Spirit. It is a place where all are welcome to share in faith, hope, and love. Consider joining them. Be as one with the community of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
