Amidst the vibrant tapestry of Toronto, the Toronto Korean Bethel Evangelical Church stands as a testament to faith and community. Located at 1155 College Street, this church has been a spiritual anchor for the Korean community and beyond. The Toronto Korean Bethel Evangelical Church pulsates with life, offering services in both Korean and English. The English Ministry at Toronto Korean Bethel Evangelical Church extends a warm welcome to everyone. They strive to embrace the unchurched and God’s prodigal children, fostering a spirit of love and discipleship. Their mission is to develop spiritual gifts for ministry and invite all to participate in God’s mission to the world. Every Sunday morning, the sanctuary fills with the harmonious sounds of worship during the English Adult Service at 9:30 am. The youth gather for BYG at 11:15 am in the EM room. On the first Sunday of each month, a special joint service unites both English-speaking adults and youth in the sanctuary at 9:30 am. This unified service symbolizes their commitment to worshipping the one true God with one heart and one voice. In 2025, the church’s theme, “Come! Serve the Church,” echoes the call to action found in Ephesians 1:23. This theme underscores the church’s dedication to service and community engagement. The Toronto Korean Bethel Evangelical Church also has a rich history. Pastor Walter Lee joined the church in 2005 and served as the lead EM pastor. Under his guidance, the English Ministry flourished. He emphasized growing “Christ-centered committed Christians who would become compassionate Kingdom workers.” Small group ministries thrived during this period, engaging two-thirds of the congregation. The single’s ministry also blossomed under Pastor Kenny Ye’s leadership, developing strong leaders and a deeper understanding of God’s love. Pastor Kenny Ye departed in November 2009 after seven years of dedicated service. In April 2009, Pastor William Jin became the senior pastor of the Toronto Korean Bethel Evangelical Church. He introduced a “one-church” model, uniting both the Korean and English-speaking ministries under a shared vision and mission. Pastor Walter subsequently left to establish his own church. The Toronto Korean Bethel Evangelical Church continues to be a vibrant hub of faith, community, and spiritual growth in the heart of Toronto.
