In 2003, Thornleigh Hillcrest Uniting Church underwent a significant transformation. The old building was replaced with a new worship and community centre. This wasn’t just a renovation. It was a rebirth for Thornleigh Hillcrest Uniting Church. The current congregation represents a union of two churches: Thornleigh and Hillcrest Rd Uniting Churches. This blending of communities has enriched the history of Thornleigh Hillcrest Uniting Church. Inside, you’ll find a heritage room. This room houses artifacts from the previous buildings. These items serve as a tangible link to the church’s past. They whisper stories of the congregations that came before. The church’s mission is threefold. They aim to provide a space for worshipping God and proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. They also strive to foster Christian fellowship and nurture believers. Lastly, they are committed to caring for the world and addressing human needs through charitable services. Thornleigh Hillcrest Uniting Church is more than just a building. It is a community. A community of people following Jesus and striving to live with love, grace, and hope. They acknowledge their presence on the land of the Dharug and Guringai peoples.
