Our Lady of Graces is not just a sculpture. She represents the Guardian of Poland and Patroness of Warsaw. The statue stands tall in Radzymin in the parish of St. John Paul II. It commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw. Bishop Romuald Kamiński unveiled the statue.
The Warsaw-Prague bishop saw the statue as gratitude to God. It recognizes Mary’s intercession during the 1920 battle. People call the battle a “Miracle on the Vistula River”. The Statue of Our Lady embodies the hope of that time.
