Gazing at the horizon, could you imagine a love so deep it turns a man to stone? Here at The Fisherman Rock, or as it’s known locally, Old Fisherman’s Rock, a poignant legend unfolds. The Fisherman Rock isn’t just a geological formation. It’s a symbol of enduring love and loss. The story goes that a fisherman lived here with his daughter. One day, the daughter was taken by the Dragon King’s son to his underwater palace. The fisherman, heartbroken, stood vigil at the shore, calling out for his daughter day and night. Years passed. His hair turned white. His back bent. His cries echoed against the unyielding sea. Eventually, the sea god, moved by his unwavering devotion, transformed him into The Fisherman Rock. He stands here still, a testament to his unending love, forever gazing towards the sea, hoping for his daughter’s return.
