The Terreiro also aims to demystify misconceptions about Umbanda. They emphasize that Exu is not the Devil. The Esquerda, comprised of Exus, Pombagiras, and Exus Mirins, are messengers to the spiritual plane. They are guardians who ensure divine orders are carried out. Because they’re close to the human world, people often feel a strong connection to them. Some believe they alone can solve their problems. However, the Terreiro teaches that all entities work together for the greater good. Exus are known for opening paths and removing negative energies. Doors open at 7:30 pm, and the gira begins at 8:30 pm. Atendimento fichas are distributed until 9 pm, on a first-come, first-served basis.
