Consider the advanced technology at play. The Division uses high-speed IBML scanners. These scanners can process up to 14,500 documents per hour. They decode barcodes and create double-sided images.
The Revenue Processing Division is divided into four bureaus. First, the Administrative Resolution and Services Bureau. Here, tax examiners analyze returns and refund claims. They check for accuracy and compliance. Second is the Returns Processing Bureau. This bureau opens mail and processes tax returns and payments. Amazingly, they deposit an average of over $17 million each day. Third, the Data Capture/Postal Processing Bureau captures tax and MVD data. Postal Processing processes over 5 million pieces of mail each year. Finally, the Business Credit Management unit. They handle questions and eligibility for 38 business tax credits.

They reunite rightful owners with their forgotten assets. On average, they receive $32 million in funds annually. They also receive $3 million in securities. They process about 4,000 claims each year, paying out over $10 million.
