Tai Wan Shan Swimming Pool is located in Whampoa. It is one of the three public swimming pools in Kowloon City District. The others are Ho Man Tin and Kowloon Tsai. Many consider Tai Wan Shan to be one of the best pools in Kowloon.
Originally, it was simply named Tai Wan Swimming Pool. This changed later. The pool officially opened in October 1977.

Finding Tai Wan Shan Swimming Pool is easy. It is a short walk from the MTR Whampoa Station. Specifically, it’s about a 3-minute walk.
To get here, take Exit D2 from Whampoa Station. Go straight to the end of Tak Ting Street. Then, turn right onto Tak Hong Street. Finally, cross Wan Hoi Street. You will see the main entrance.
Here you will find several pools. There is a main pool for serious swimmers. There is also a secondary pool for more relaxed swims. Teaching pools are available for lessons. A diving pool caters to those who enjoy diving. Fun or leisure pools add excitement.
Visitors can watch from the spectator stand. It has 800 seats. An electronic scoreboard keeps everyone updated. Families can use the family changing room.
Tai Wan Shan Swimming Pool generally opens three times a day. The first session begins at 6:30 am and runs until noon. The second session is from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The final session occurs from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
