The late 1800s brought the Roslagsbanan railway. It connected Täby to Stockholm and Roslagen. Täby grew. In 1948, Täby became a market town. It evolved into Täby kommun in 1971. Today, the municipal government operates from a modern building. This thriving area is part of Greater Stockholm.
