One nestled near the restrooms offers a dozen tables and three grills. The other, closer to the baseball field, provides a half-dozen tables and two grills, each with its own playground. Hikers take note: Sweetgum Picnic Area is the ideal starting point for the Perimeter and Azalea Trails. Find the Azalea Trail near the parking area entrance.
