Was Storchova vila always known by that name? Perched atop Havlín Hill, Storchova vila, a beautiful relic of the past, stands before you. This elegant villa, sometimes referred to as Suchánkova vila, has a story as intricate as its architecture. Storchova vila was brought to life between 1892 and 1893. It later underwent a significant transformation in 1907-1908. This expansion was commissioned by JUDr. František Storch, after whom the villa is now known. Dr. Storch was a prominent law professor at Charles University, even serving as the dean of the faculty and later as rector. He made this villa his sanctuary. Today, the villa stands as a testament to his legacy. Storchova vila witnessed changing times, eventually falling into disrepair. Recognizing its historical significance, it was declared a cultural monument in 2014. Although it awaits restoration, the echoes of Dr. Storch’s life and the elegance of a bygone era continue to resonate within its walls.
