The Statek u Merlina is home to a captivating array of animal residents, each with its own unique story. Its history began in 2008 when the owners purchased the farm. It was a labor of love to transform it into a mini-zoo. The first residents arrived in 2009, including the farm’s namesake, a camel called Merlin. The farm’s humble beginnings have grown into a vibrant space where families can connect with nature and get up close and personal with fascinating creatures.
What started as a small collection of film animals now boasts over 130 animals, representing 38 species. Look for the playful tamarins, a critically endangered species the farm was successful in breeding. If you look closely, you might even spot a few baby llamas! The Statek u Merlina, stretching across 70,000 square meters of picturesque countryside, prides itself on providing a natural and enriching environment for its animal inhabitants.
The Statek u Merlina is more than just a petting zoo. It also serves as a breeding ground for endangered species and a platform for educating the public about the importance of animal welfare.
