How about a stroll down the “Stralsunder Sternenpfad”? The “Stadt der Sterne No 17 Installation” is a towering, illuminated star right in front of us. It stands over seven meters tall and is one of 26 dazzling stars adorning Stralsund during the winter months. The idea for these stars came from Mayor Alexander Badrow, who wanted to bring light and cheer to the city during the darkest time of the year. The first five stars were erected in 2020, and in 2024, 20 additional ones were installed. This one, for example, was sponsored by Aurel Hagen, a local Stralsund resident. The stars have become both a popular tourist attraction and a much-loved photo opportunity. The glistening metal panels of the “Stadt der Sterne No 17 Installation” catch the light beautifully. It is a true beacon of warmth and joy during the cold winter months. Every evening, as the sun sets, these stars bring the heart of Stralsund to life – a spectacle of lights and color. Take a picture with the “Stadt der Sterne No 17 Installation” and let its sparkle linger in your memory.
