Undeterred, the community rallied, and by 1950, St. Brictius-Stotzheim was restored, a symbol of hope amidst the ruins. Tragedy struck again in May 1987. An act of arson ravaged the church, leaving its future uncertain. Yet, once more, the community refused to let their beloved church fade away. With unwavering determination, they rebuilt St. Brictius-Stotzheim. The church was re-consecrated on August 27, 1988, rising from the ashes like a phoenix. Inside St. Brictius-Stotzheim, you’ll find a blend of traditional and modern elements. The block altar, crafted from sand and tuff stone, exudes a timeless aura. The bronze ambo adds a touch of contemporary elegance. A striking crucifixion triptych, created by Cologne artist Toni May in 1993, graces the altar area.
