Before the wavedeck existed a narrow sidewalk was the only access to the lake. People barely had room to walk. The Spadina WaveDeck changed all that. It created a stunning new public space. It connects two key waterfront gems: the Music Garden and HTO Park. Now people can stroll seamlessly between these parks.
Imagine the construction. 3564 wooden planks painstakingly assembled. The wave-like design isn’t just for show. It’s inspired by the undulating shorelines of the Great Lakes. But there’s more to this deck than meets the eye. The construction also improved aquatic habitats. Riverstone and logs were added to provide homes for fish. The result?
