The Solo Sagrado de Guarapiranga is more than a temple. It’s a vast sanctuary nestled on the shores of Guarapiranga Reservoir in São Paulo. Imagine 327500 square meters of carefully preserved nature. Beautiful buildings seamlessly blend with the natural beauty of the surrounding Atlantic Forest.
Construction began in 1991. Thousands of volunteers poured their love and dedication into its creation. Each detail was thoughtfully planned to foster meditation and connection with nature. The result is a harmonious space where spirituality flourishes.
The temple itself is breathtaking. Its open ring-shaped design is supported by sixteen pillars. A seventy-one meter tall tower rises above. It’s a stunning architectural achievement. The temple overlooks a vibrant garden filled with flowers and butterflies. A colorful staircase leads to the temple.
But the Solo Sagrado de Guarapiranga offers more than spiritual contemplation. Visitors can enjoy extensive gardens picnic areas and even a lake with carp. Amenities include restrooms a cultural center a cafeteria and an auditorium. Volunteer guides offer assistance and information to visitors.
In 2023 the site was officially designated as a Private Natural Heritage Reserve. This ensures its preservation and protection for future generations.
