Why would a Sikh Gurdwara need a GoFundMe page? Here at the Sikh Gurdwara of Tampa Bay, the need for expansion is real. Established in 1997, the Sikh Gurdwara of Tampa Bay was the only one serving the greater Tampa Bay area. This includes Sarasota, St.Petersburg, Clearwater and north to Ocala and east to Lakeland. Since then, the Sikh Sangat, or community, has tripled in size. The present building is inadequate. A new building plan is being implemented, which will be about 5000 square feet, but the community needs help. With today’s building construction costs and associated expenses, the cost of this project is estimated at around $750,000. The Sikh Gurdwara of Tampa Bay is dedicated to spreading the message of True Gurmat. They are also serving the religious needs of Sangat in this area. The organization is totally dedicated to Sikhi. They focus on educating the community about Gurmat of Shabad Guru, based on Bani of Guru Granth Sahib. Please consider donating to this worthy cause.
