Brother Dennis Clemons served again as interim pastor from May 9 1976 to September 1 1976. Reverend Stanley E Young Sr followed. He was a chaplain at the seaport. The church sent shoeboxes to foreign sailors at Christmas for years.

Reverend Ray Walls became full-time pastor on January 1 1977. Many improvements followed. Landscaping building a parking lot sidewalks and the distinctive three crosses on a hill were added. Church chimes benefited both the congregation and the community. More land was purchased in December 1986.

A concert grand piano donated by a friend of Reverend Ketchum served the church for many years. A utility building was also donated by a member. Reverend Russell Carter served from 1999 to 2010. He oversaw the stonework on the church front and the baptistery remodel. Reverend Mark Nunes became pastor in August 2011.
