The end of World War II brought trauma to Sedlec u Lu00edbeznic. As the Prague Uprising began a battle group of the SS “Der Fu00fchrer” passed through. Residents tried to resist erecting a barricade. But they were quickly overpowered. The SS searched the village killing several civilians. A dark chapter etched into the history of Sedlec u Lu00edbeznic.

Today Sedlec u Lu00edbeznic is a small village with just over 500 residents. The village covers an area of less than two square kilometers. It is located about twelve kilometers from the center of Prague.

Although Sedlec u Lu00edbeznic lacks a railway line it is accessible by road. In 2011, buses connected Sedlec u Lu00edbeznic with Prague and surrounding towns.
