Sara Miller’s journey is as colorful as her art. Growing up in New York she found inspiration in bright colors and textured fabrics. After years in Los Angeles and Texas Sara Miller fulfilled her dream. She moved to Santa Fe in 2017. Now she works as a full-time artist in her beautiful studio gallery, the Sara Miller Contemporary Art Gallery.
Sara Miller is a self-taught artist. Her career began with wearable art and art quilts. She also designed fabrics for a major NY manufacturer. Once Sara Miller held a paintbrush, she was hooked. Now Sara Miller combines painting with her mixed media fiber art.
As a mixed media fiber artist Sara Miller creates with vibrant colors. She uses stitched threads of nature’s palette. Sara Miller also incorporates the structured beauty of architectural forms. Each piece at Sara Miller Contemporary Art Gallery tells a story. It is a tactile chronicle of the world. Sara Miller sees the world as brilliant intricate and teeming with color and life.

Sara Miller says her goal is to bring joy and happiness to viewers and collectors. She experiences this joy when painting and creating her mixed media fiber art. Sara Miller loves working with patterns textures colors geometric shapes and curves.
Sara Miller’s newest series is called Out of the Box. During the pandemic Sara Miller found comfort in her sewing machines. She worked with fabric and fiber once again. Getting outside the edges of her canvas gave her freedom. She escaped the boundaries of her studio and home.
One of Sara Miller’s works is “Female Faces”. This fiber art on canvas measures 30x40x1.5 inches. It sells for $3500.00.
