Pastor Linwood Grant leads St. Judah Spiritual Baptist Church. He was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. His parents were the late Willie and Janie Grant. He is the youngest of four siblings. Pastor Grant graduated from Northern Nash High School in 1971.
Pastor Grant moved to the Washington Metropolitan Area. He joined the New Macedonia Baptist Church. He served under the leadership of the Late Dr. Robert L. Walls. At New Macedonia, Pastor Grant was ordained a Deacon. He was licensed as a Minister. Then, he was ordained to preach God’s Word.
Pastor Grant studied Theology at George Washington University. He served as an understudy at the National Baptist Convention. God led Pastor Grant to Kingdom Missionary Baptist Church. He served under Pastor Charles W. Dockett in Bladensburg, Maryland. There, he was Assistant Pastor.
Pastor Grant loves the Lord. He was chosen to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Reverend Linwood Grant accepted his Call to become the Pastor of St. Judah Spiritual Baptist Church on August 14, 2006. The Installation Ceremony was held on August 25, 2007. Rev. Linwood Grant became the fifth Pastor of St. Judah.
Pastor Grant retired from George Washington University in 2017. He had served for 47 years. God has blessed Pastor Grant with a supportive wife. Her name is First Lady Jacquelyn Grant. They have two sons and two daughters.
