Ever wonder how a church in a suburb named after an early settler connects to modern ministry? That’s the story of Rosemeadow Anglican Church. This church is more than just a building. It’s a community hub with a rich history.

Rosemeadow itself owes its name to Thomas Rose. He was an early settler who bought a farm called Mount Gilead in 1818. The suburb officially became Rosemeadow in 1976. It was when Sydney’s urban sprawl reached the area.

Today Rosemeadow Anglican Church stands as a testament to faith in daily life. The church is located near the Rosemeadow Marketplace. You can find it on the corner of Copperfield Drive and Fitzgibbon Lane. It’s close to the local post office a community health center and a high school.

Rosemeadow Anglican Church is part of Rosemeadow-Appin Anglican Churches. Together with St Mark’s Anglican Church in Appin they form a ministry unit. St Mark’s has a history dating back to 1843. Bishop Broughton consecrated it in that year.

Kevin Flanagan is the Acting Rector. He began his ministry in February 2023. Kevin’s passion is introducing people to Jesus. He wants to help them understand God’s love.

The Rosemeadow morning congregation meets every Sunday at 10:00 am. Services usually start with singing. This can be recordings or a live band. The Bible is read and a sermon applies it to daily life. Prayers are said and a collection is taken from regular members. Visitors are welcome without obligation.

Kids In Church runs every week during the service. It includes a Bible story prayer and a children’s song. Children get an activity sheet to complete.

The facilities are disability-friendly. There is disabled parking a ramp and disabled toilets. The congregation strives to be welcoming and inclusive. The service usually finishes around 11:15 am or 11:30 am. People often stay until 12:30 pm for morning tea and chat.

The Fijian Methodist Church of Australia uses the building after the morning service. They conduct their service in Fijian around 1 pm. This partnership shows the church’s commitment to the wider community.

Rosemeadow Anglican Church offers a welcoming space. It blends traditional faith with contemporary life. Whether you’re a long-time resident or a first-time visitor all are welcome. Feel free to turn up 10 minutes early and grab a cuppa before the service starts.
