Here at Rock Creek Park Picnic Grove 10, you will find convenience. A medium-sized parking lot makes access easy. Please note that Beach Drive NW, north of the picnic grove, closes on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays.

This picnic area has essential amenities. Picnic tables are scattered among the trees. A stone chimney or grill stands ready for your barbecue. Remember to bring your own cooking grate and shovel. The shovel will help clear out any old ashes.

Across the street you will find restrooms. These restrooms are open seasonally. Check the restroom page to confirm they are open.

Rock Creek Park Picnic Grove 10 accommodates groups. Up to 75 people can gather here. Be aware that it is not handicap accessible. If you are planning a large gathering, you must reserve the area. Reservations are required from April through November. You can reserve it online or by phone. The phone number is 1-877-444-6777. Reservations are in half-day slots. One slot is from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Another is from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

During other months it is first-come, first-served. If someone is in your reserved spot, call the US Park Police. The number is 1 (202) 610-7505.

Several rules apply here. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Balloons and decorations are not allowed. Also amplified music is not permitted.

Bring your own firewood or charcoal. Collecting wood in the park is illegal. Fires are only allowed in the provided fireplaces or personal grills.
