Is this where faith finds its home? The River of Life Centre stands before us, a beacon of community spirit right here on High Street in Lower Hutt. You might be surprised to learn it wasn’t always known by this name. The River of Life Centre, as we know it, started its journey back in 1941 as Kingston Park Baptist Church. This change, reflecting its evolving mission, happened on a seemingly ordinary day – December 1st, 2011. The heart of the River of Life Centre beats with a powerful vision: to reach out and rebuild families within the community. It’s more than just a place of worship. It’s a tapestry woven from the lives touched and the connections fostered within its walls. As you step inside, imagine the echoes of laughter from children’s classes, the uplifting melodies of the live band, and the comforting aroma of coffee and cake shared after service. This, my friends, is the essence of the River of Life Centre, a place where faith, family, and community intertwine.
