Founded in 1932 as Central Halls the Renfrew Baptist Church has a rich history. It began as Central Halls a mission hall built by Samuel Oglivie. He tirelessly collected donations and savings. The building was completed debt-free a testament to faith. Pastor Oglivie sadly passed away in 1964. That same year Central Halls became Central Halls Mission Church. Pastor Hugh Perry led the congregation until his passing in 1981. The church then welcomed James and Patricia Bellshaw along with Stewart and Carolin McLean as pastors. In 1982 Central Halls Fellowship was established. The name changed again in 1996 to Renfrew Christian Fellowship. The church continues to serve the community. It’s located in a vibrant cosmopolitan area. The church actively seeks to share the Gospel. Renfrew Baptist Church offers various services. These include Sunday morning services. They also have evening prayer meetings youth groups and a junior church for children. A nursery is available for parents with infants. Fellowship lunches follow the Sunday morning service. The church uses YouTube to livestream services. Its mission is to reach out with the full Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is done through prayer preaching and living a godly life.
