Dive into a green oasis amidst the urban landscape. This is Reithofferpark. It offers a refreshing escape in Vienna’s 15th district.

Reithofferpark covers approximately 10700 square meters. It provides a space for recreation and relaxation. The park’s story begins with Johann Nepomuk Reithoffer. He was a rubber goods manufacturer and inventor of rubberized fabrics. The Gemeinderatsausschuss für Kultur named the park after him on February 13, 1991.

Imagine this park wasn’t always as we see it today. In 1995, after the construction of the U3 subway line and an underground parking garage, Reithofferpark underwent a complete redesign. This transformation gave rise to the modern recreational space you see now.

Reithofferpark has sport facilities. Locals and visitors engage in activities such as basketball and table tennis. The park provides designated areas for these sports. A basketball court and a ball game cage were renovated in 2022 and 2023. An additional table tennis table was added for even more fun.

Please note the sign at the entrance. Dogs are not allowed in Reithofferpark. There is a dog zone nearby for dog owners.

Reithofferpark stands as a testament to Vienna’s commitment to green spaces. It provides a tranquil retreat. It honors the legacy of Johann Nepomuk Reithoffer. Take a moment to enjoy this urban sanctuary.
