It all began in 1996 with Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Touched by the needs she witnessed during a visit to West African communities, she felt a powerful urge to act. This led to the creation of a committee focused on helping missions in West Africa. The Redeemed Christian Church of God African Missions wasn’t content to stay within those borders. In 1997, Pastor Adeboye expanded her vision to include Central, Eastern, and Southern Africa. This wasn’t just about providing immediate aid. The Redeemed Christian Church of God African Missions sought to empower communities through development and spread the message of the gospel. From its humble beginnings, the Redeemed Christian Church of God African Missions has grown into a global organization. It boasts chapters across Europe, Canada, the United States, and Africa.
