The Ramakrishna Vedanta Ashrama was founded in 1974. It became officially affiliated with the Ramakrishna Order in 1999. The headquarters of the Order are in Belurmath, India. This affiliation marked a significant milestone. The Ramakrishna Vedanta Ashrama became the first affiliated center in Brazil.
