Quiet Waters Park is open seven days a week. It welcomes visitors from 7:00 a.m. until dusk. The park remains closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

The Quiet Waters Park Visitor Center is the perfect starting point. It is the place to begin exploring. Inside, two art galleries display local and regional talent. The Visitor Center is open Monday through Friday. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Looking to host an event? Quiet Waters Park has six outdoor pavilions. They are available for rent. The Blue Heron Center is an indoor facility. It is perfect for weddings and business meetings.

Imagine exchanging vows with the South River as your backdrop. The South River Overlook offers scenic views. It is a wonderful wedding location. Consider the James Lighthizer Gazebo. It sits on the edge of a serene pond. The Blue Heron Center offers space for both ceremony and reception.

Quiet Waters Park offers more than just event spaces. It has a cartop boat launch. This provides access for canoes or kayaks. Capital SUP operates within Quiet Waters Park. It is located off the Blue Heron parking lot. A short trail leads to Harness Creek. Paddle along the shores of the Chesapeake waterways. Enjoy kayak, paddle board, pedal boat, and canoe rentals. Capital SUP also offers lessons.

Sunset paddles provide a magical experience. They fill the sky with color. These group paddles occur monthly. Stand Up Paddle Boards, kayaks, and canoes are available. Enjoy music from Quiet Waters concerts in the background. A BYOB option is available. Remember the walk from the parking lot to the docks takes about 5-10 minutes.

Run Club meets every Monday night. Join others for a two-mile run around Quiet Waters Park. Cool down with a paddle on Harness Creek. All paces and levels of experience are welcome.

Eco-tours offer insights into local ecosystems and history. Experienced guides lead these tours. Keep an eye out for the birds of the Chesapeake Bay.

Bring your furry friends to Yappy Hour. Enjoy summer with your pups on a SUP or kayak.

Daily entry fees apply. A daily pass costs $6.00 per vehicle. Physically challenged visitors pay $5.00 per vehicle. Service-connected individuals get free entry. Annual passes are also available.
