Queen Anne’s Hall, constructed in 1949 and renovated in 2005, has a rich history. The four-story, coed, traditional-style residence hall houses about 119 residents. Here, students find singles, doubles, and triples, all with community bathrooms. Single all-gender options are available as well.
Queen Anne’s Hall is conveniently located. McKeldin Library is next door. Most academic buildings are a short five-minute walk away.
Queen Anne’s Hall provides essential amenities. Air conditioning ensures comfort. An elevator offers accessibility. Laundry facilities are on the ground floor. Students can also enjoy the convenience of a kitchen and vending machines. Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the building. A 24-hour service desk provides assistance.
Each room in Queen Anne’s Hall is equipped with essential furniture. This includes an XL twin mattress, a desk with a hutch, and a desk chair. A dresser, a full-length mirror, and adjustable furniture are also provided. Window blinds offer privacy. Floor tiles and a closet complete the living space.

Desks are 42 inches wide, 26 inches deep, and 30 inches high. Dressers have five drawers. They measure 28 inches wide, 20 inches deep, and 47 inches high.
Queen Anne’s Hall fosters a sense of community. It houses the Jimenéz-Porter Writers’ House. Resident life staff, including a resident director and resident assistants, support the students.
Housekeeping services ensure cleanliness. Weekday services run from 7:30 a.m. to mid-afternoon. Weekend services are reduced. Emergency services are available 24/7.
Residents are responsible for taking their trash to the dumpsters outside. Housekeeping staff removes trash and recycling from common areas twice a day.
