The PVS Josefinum, a grand building with a rich past, is in front of you. It was once a school, serving as a vital pillar of education in the community. The building was erected in 1902. A year earlier, the school had just been expanded. Just five years before, the school was founded in 1895. It started as a basic school with just one classroom. The PVS Josefinum, then known as a Volksschule, was housed in the Josefs-Kinderheim. The school stood proud for decades, serving the community with knowledge and tradition. But the war took its toll. In 1938, the PVS Josefinum was expropriated. But from the ashes, it rose again. In 1950, the PVS Josefinum was reopened as a diocesan school. And in 1951, it was renamed a parish school. The school continued its journey, offering education to generations of students. Today, the PVS Josefinum stands as a reminder of a rich and vibrant past. The building, still holding echoes of its past, continues to serve as a beacon of knowledge.
