Ayana Arce, a Duke University physicist, inspired this mural. Her research involves colliding atoms at high speeds. She studies the particles that emerge. Arce’s work became “We Contain Multitudes.” This Prism Mural depicts quarks as interconnected women. The women are creative and resilient.
