The Presbyterian Church of Myanmar story begins not here, but amidst the rolling hills of Mizoram, India. In the early 20th century, the Mizo people, touched by the revivalist fervor sweeping through their region, embarked on a journey to Myanmar, carrying with them the tenets of Presbyterianism. In 1956, nestled in the heart of Losau, the Presbyterian Church of Myanmar formally came into being. The church quickly blossomed, spreading its message of hope and grace throughout the Kalay and Kabaw Valley. The Presbyterian Church of Myanmar became a beacon for many, finding fertile ground in the Chin Hills, Rakhine State, and the upper Sagaing Division.
